How to Play The Violin: Learn Step by Step

Previously, in order to play your favorite singles and albums, you had to first convert your music compact disk to the mp3 or a similar format in order to play your favorite music on your portable digital player. While that is still the preferred method for most music lovers who like to purchase music CD's and yet play their music on the go in a portable format, there had also been a rise of Internet downloads of music in digitized form in the decade before this, Napster being the most famous and previously notorious example.

Last night David and I made our way to the Hollywood Palladium to see the superstar DJ Girl Talk live in concert. I got turned on to Girl Talk last year when he released his album All Day free online and I was very curious to see what his live show would be like. Basically, it’s like a big party where all of your fave songs get played and mashed together. I wouldn’t say it was the best concert I’ve ever been to but it deffo was a fun time.

Essentially, the sold out audience at the Palladium paid to hear a DJ play songs all night long … which doesn’t sound all that interesting but the songs that were played and the way they were mashed up with other songs was, at the very least, inventive and fun. I was most impressed by the mash-up of Kelly Clarkson‘s Since U Been Gone on top of the throbbing guitar riff from the Nine Inch Nails song Wish. Every single person was dancing last night … and that is the sign of a great show. David is not a fan of concerts but he had fun so … yeah, I’m glad we went to the show.

Tonight is a night off for me, as I have concerts every other night all week long. I’m planning on seeing Duran Duran tomorrow night then Oh Land & OMD on Friday night and then Good Charlotte on Saturday night. We may see a movie tonight but … we may also just stay in to recuperate. Happy Tuesday!!

You have probably dreamt of this day for years walking down the aisle in a beautiful white gown towards the man you love with soft music wafting in the air. Music plays an integral part of every wedding day and makes the experience memorable and lasting. Hence you must choose the right wedding band which can play the music that is of your choice. Do not just try to please the guests alone; it is your big day and so the music and songs must also be according to your likes and dislikes.

On Monday we got to see some pretty incredible photos of Tom Cruise filming a very intense and dangerous stunt on the world’s tallest building on the Dubai set of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol … and today we get to check out a couple more photos of Tom in action. While the photos we saw previously were snapped from afar, these new photos were snapped up close and personal:

There were some who did not believe that it was actually Tom Cruise that we saw in the photos before but there is no denying, it’s definitely him. These cool photos were snapped from inside the Burj Kahlifa building while Tom filmed his M:I 4 scenes. I gotta say, I’m still really damn impressed that Tom would choose to do this sort of very dangerous stunt work himself … that being said, I’ve always suspected that Tom was a little nuts — this is proof positive.

There won't be any settlement in the lawsuit between Michael Moore and Bob and Harvey Weinstein.

Moore sued the Weinsteins back in February, claiming that they owe him $2.7 million from his film, Farenheit 9/11.

He alleged that they used "financial deception" and "bogus accounting methods" in their production deal.

He continues:

"No settlement. No interest in one. Discovery and depositions will reveal how the accounting is done, once and for all.

Harvey and I have a lot of important history together, brothers in arms. And he and Bob have nothing but a force for good indie filmmakers … I hold no ill will, and for now am just blaming all of this on his accountants and business affairs people."

A lawyer for the Weinsteins dispute the allegations, saying:

"[Harvey and Bob] have paid [Moore] everything he should be paid. [The Weinsteins] would be rushing to settle if they were concerned, but they're not. [The lawsuit] is riddled with inaccuracies and ridiculous claims."

Ouch.

It's too bad when a bad business deals get in the way of a professional relationship.

Aging That you Can't Manage

Increasing numbers of people are now interested to look at their own health. Indeed they're willing to make alterations for their sleeping pattern, their diet and even the ways they care for their skin. Are you aware that a good bed may help you improve your sleep quality? You can take a look at internet sites for instance matelas tempur so as to get more info on this subject. Using the appropriate cosmetics may let you take good care on the skin. You will get addiitional information on this topic with internet sites for example soin de visage naturel and produit anti ride. Below you'll find attach an article associated with the topic above so as to allow you to get more info.
Although aging skin is a natural component of existence, when it'll begin and how it will progress will largely depend on two factors one that you have no manage of and one that will rely solely on you.
Like everything else in the planet, aging is really a function with the genes and also the natural movement of life. It's basically biological in nature and although there are some factors that can hasten or decelerate the process, there is little that you can do to stop it.There are hereditary elements which are already pre-determined. And though these aren't always signs of growing previous but instead hereditary characteristics that are normally component of your self, these may still make you appear a lot older. You will find elements inside your skin which are already there, waiting for triggers within the atmosphere and the time that passes. This really is simply because we essentially inherit from our parents the technique or way by which we grow old. There are some individuals who age well while you will find other people who do not and seem significantly older than their chronological ages.
Often, these hereditary manifestations of age can be observed in the tiny lines in the edge of the eyes or even the wrinkles surrounding it. This is the cause why there are some individuals who have these so-called laugh lines even when they're more youthful.
Deep creases along the sides of the nose and also the mouth are other hereditary lines that individuals create once they grow previous. Another worthy of mentioning would be the quantity of lines that we get on the forehead or the furrows along the browline.
Drooping eyelids are also extremely common even in individuals who are young. You will find just some individuals who have downward slants to their eyes. And although this isn't always a signal of aging, it is something that will make the encounter appear older than its actual age.
Some people also have loose skin along their jaw line. And although this isn't actually sagging skin, getting this extra skin can appear like the entire face is melting down and sagging.
Additionally to this, there are also "old signs" in areas like the legs that we are able to inherit from our parents such as the improvement of cellulite and varicose veins, which may make people appear older. The exact same can be stated of baldness especially for males and the improvement of white hair early in life.

Country Song Themes: Breaking Up and Religion

I have found that there are six themes that most of the country songs fit into. The themes are love, breaking up, drinking, patriotism, religion, and country living. Each of the themes is rather broad but that is the beauty of a theme. It allows most of the country songs out today to be classified, but does not mean that there are not songs that do not fit into the categories.

As I stated in the other article, a wedding has many light sources and these light sources compete to be the main light in your photos. The problem is, if these light sources have very different color temperatures, your images will have an incorrect white balance.

Ask any rockabilly fan to name their top-10 most-influential rockabilly musicians and it's almost a guarantee that the name Eddie Cochran will appear toward the top of the list. As I sit down to write this article it's the 51 anniversary of Cochran's tragic death on April 17, 1960 in a late-night car crash while on tour in England. Eddie Cochran had only scored a few hit singles in his short career, but his influence on the future of rock and roll can not be overestimated.

On Tuesday I posted my Top Albums of 2010 and yesterday I was planning to post my list of my fave films of the year … but I had to push back one day so I could see one more film to determine if it was worthy of making my Top 10 list. And so, without further ado, here is my personal list of the Top Movies of 2010.

Number 10Piranha 3D:

The B-Movie was back this year and it came in the form of the hilariously silly yet entirely entertaining film Piranha 3D. No movie this year had more blood, boobs and severed penis than Piranha 3D … which, of course, means that the film should be lauded in some small way. While the serious, well-acted, well-written, incredibly creative films will be honored by the big movie award ceremonies next year, I think there is something to be said for the silly “popcorn movies” that manage to entertain for 90 minutes in the most frivolously fun way. Piranha 3D is no cinematic masterpiece … but it’s a damn good time at the movies … and it deffo made my list of fave films for 2010.

sesame-street-comes-to-pakistan.jpg

Sesame Street continues to be a universal learning tool for children as it will now be broadcast in Pakistan to help boost education.

The U.S. is donating $20 million to fund a local version of the show, which will have the traditional New York City setting swapped for a Pakistani village.

Don't expect to see Big Bird or Cookie Monster though, as the show will feature new characters including Rani, a six-year-old female puppet with pigtails and a blue-and-white school uniform and will speak in Urdu.

Writer for the Pakistani version, Imraan Peerzada says:

"She will represent what little girls have to go through in this gender-biased society.

We are not avoiding religion‚ but we don't want to label children…the basic learning tools of literacy‚ numeracy‚ hygiene‚ and healthy eating have to be in place first."

rioters-protest-gay-pride-parade-in-belgrade-serbia

Just disgusting.

A gay pride march in Belgrade, Serbia turned violent on Sunday when 6,000 right-wing, anti-gay rioters descended upon the crowd with Molotov cocktails and stun grenades, ultimately leaving 140 hurt and 200 arrested.

5,600 riot police were on hand to battle the rioters, who screamed "death to homosexuals!" as they tried to break through security cordons, set fire to cars, hurled bricks through windows, resulting in $1.39 million in damages. Police were forced to rely on tear gas to restore peace.

Political analyst Miljenko Dereta explained:

"This was undoubtedly a political message, an attempt to destabilize the country and this government. The rioters had political support."

However, President Boris Tadic was left undeterred by the extremist actions, and maintains:

"Serbia will guarantee human rights for all its citizens, regardless of the differences among them, and no attempts to revoke these freedoms with violence will be allowed."

Democratic Party spokeswoman Jelana Trivan continues:

"These riots obviously have nothing to do with the gay parade or any moral values. These are hooligan gangs which must be punished severely."

Luckily, Belgrade's streets are covered with security cameras, and Senior Justice Ministry official Slobodan Homen claims that many of the rioters have been identified and arrested, and could face up to eight years in prison!

Unbelievable!

As devastated as we are to learn that this despicable and barbaric behavior occurred due to bigotry and hate, we have to applaud the Serbian government for handling everything with such commitment and integrity!

Your support in such an important cause is truly appreciated!

These coins started out as gifts to military personnel and have come a long way since then.

What Type Of Music Are You?

You're in a band. All of you are really motivated and rehearse a lot. At some point you're finally ready to do your first show, so you book a gig. At the long awaited night you jump on the stage, but the show turns out to be a total nightmare. Your guitar sounds really weird, plus your bandmates don't play even close to how they did on rehearsals. Not only that, but some piece of equipment breaks up and you don't know what to do, so you end up spending 15 minutes on stage desperately trying to fix it, while the whole crowd is laughing at you. You finally manage to fix that stuff, so you play your next song, but then you forget your guitar solo and you find yourself in the next awful situation.

5 Reasons Why You Should Buy Your Tickets From a Reputable Ticket Seller

So many definitive rockabilly recordings came out on the Sun Records label that the label has come to be synonymous with rockabilly. Although the label didn't release rockabilly exclusively--lots of blues and country recordings were released on Sun too--it's those pioneering rockabilly recordings that put the label on the map. Rockabilly musicians the world over have been trying to duplicate that distinctive "Sun sound" ever since Elvis' "That's All Right" changed the course of pop music forever. While other labels turned out records that you could say were equally as great as the Sun releases, no one has ever really been able to nail that original Sun sound.

Karaoke Downloads Are Increasing - Know Why

One of the more curious aspects of rockabilly is that often times the themes of rockabilly songs tended to be rather silly. In fact, you could almost say that there was an art to taking a goofy theme that might otherwise condemn a song to the category of "novelty song" and making a legitimate rocker out of it. It was almost as if the songwriter was daring the listener to dismiss the song as silly. But the music was so energetic and sincere that these songs could not be shrugged off quite so easily. Here are a few goofy examples that illustrate what I mean.

Ricky Martin Kicks Off His New Concert Tour In Puerto Rico

Ricky Martin kicked off his new Musica+Alma+Sexo World Tour in his homeland of Puerto Rico last night and he unveiled his new leather daddy look on stage. I’m thinkin’ Ricky‘s outfit is meant to look like a badass motorcyle outfit but, IMHO, it ended up looking more silly than badass. Check out the photos below [...]

Drew Barrymore and her new boyfriend Will Kopelman have been flaunting their romance all over SoCal in the past week or so. From restaurants, to stores, to sporting events, Drew and Will have been seen makin’ out all over town. Last night, the couple took their lurvefest show courtside at the Staples Center where they rooted for the LA Lakers in between make-out sessions.

Geeze Louise, get a room you two! It is quite clear that these two are really LOVING the honeymoon phase of their new relationship. While I really miss seeing Drew with Justin Long, I am happy to see her lookin’ so enamored of a new dude. Let’s hope this new love is one that can stand the test of time and won’t burn out sooner rather than later.

Trump in 2012 T-Shirts

The Vikings were a legendarily tough race of people, and there are few things more fun than to don a Viking fancy dress costume and act like one for the night. The Viking way of life was one of drinking, fighting, and pillaging, taking what they liked and living the tough life on the seas. When you find or make a great Viking costume, you'll stand out at any fancy dress party, whether it's Halloween or any other occasion.

Arts-and-Entertainment:Music from EzineArticles.com

I guess it's probably been this way since music was first invented. The older generation doesn't understand the younger generation's music. I laugh at myself these days when I hear myself saying to my kids, "Why don't you turn that crap off and listen to some real music?" My parents said it to me and their parents said it to them. This is one respect in which rockabilly was similar to many musical genres before it. The difference was that rockabilly ignited that emotion in the parents and high-society types in a much stronger way than other types of music had before or have since.

‘Burlesque’ Premieres In Hollywood

The legendary Cher and her young co-star Christina Aguilera were among the folks who came out to Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA last night for the LA premiere of their new film Burlesque. Earlier today we learned that Xtina was on hand to receive her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame [...]

Despite the fact that we heard last week that on-again off-again couple AnnaLynne McCord and Kellan Lutz had broken up, the pair were spotted making their way out of a cheap motel in Studio City, CA early yesterday lookin’ very much like their secret rendezvous got busted by the paparazzi. As you can see, Kellan and AnnaLynne went to great lengths to try and keep this tryst a secret … AnnaLynne even went so far as to wear a cheap wig and sunglasses as a disguise:

LMAO!! So busted. To be honest, I don’t get what the big secret is about … the couple have been dating for a while, they break-up they make-up and then they break-up again … and now they’re sneaking around in cheap motels? It’s just so … funny. Look, if this is what it takes to keep their romantic affiliation spicy, then more power to them. I just hope AnnaLynne will invest in better looking wigs if she’s gonna keep creepin’ around like this.

Learning The Violin - Extra Accessories To Consider When Starting Out

When you decide that your band needs some business cards or you need to update your current business card make sure that you give it some good thought before you just jump right in and get 1,000 of them made up. Business cards are still a necessity for any band (or for yourself if you are a solo artist). As I stated in a prior article about handing out business cards, they are very inexpensive to manufacture but one should still think about what your goal is with designing a business card.
